We were really pleased to be invited to the AJ Awards, some excellent winning projects. For full information read first hand from the AJ:

After our move out from Twickenham we are now predominantly based in our Battersea showroom (on St Johns Hill by Clapham Junction station) with meetings in Cobham. We missed our  regular coffee from Liv who runs the “Telecafe” on Twickenham Green (who’s wonderful coffee has facilitated many late nights of working) so much we have decided to bring her to Battersea to facilitate our coffee addiction! 

Minor final snags were completed in February for the Glass Box house in the leafy Esher, the client is currently installing some stunning landscaping and lighting. Chris Snook will be taking some photographs later this year.

We are particularly proud of this project, our client moved into the Northern aspect house and was in constant darkness – the glass box and giant rooflight mean they now sit in daylight all day long! 

We sadly say goodbye to our showroom 24 The Green, Twickenham Green after five happy years. This is only a temporary goodbye, we are looking for a replacement long term home that we can call our own in or around Twickenham and are actively looking (please get in touch if you have somewhere!!!) so we hope to see you again very very soon Twickenham.

It is good to see progress on the Zinc Zag House in Peckham. This whole house refurbishment is nearing completion. The single storey extension with a stepped “zinc zag” roof as it is being called by the contractors has created a zinc installation using the stunning VM Zinc  product (special thanks to Jonathan Roome for product detailing input).

We are excited to be working again with a repeat client this time on their London headquarters, with designs started in earnest for the complete refurbishment of this 350sqm building in a conservation area.

The existing building needs a lot of tender loving care to bring it back to its former glory and provide a long term new headquarters for this pioneering company.

Due to a dog sitting mix up, we ended up taking Polly to site in central London. You will only usually see Polly if there is a problem on site and we need to get do the “bad cop” routine with a contractor (fortunately that is not needed very often!).

We were delighted to be invited to the AR Emerging Awards 2023. Congratulations to the winner TO, Mexico.

We are very thrilled that our Black Brick extension has been featured in the Self Build Extension Bible 2023 available for purchase here.

We successfully obtained planning permission for the extension and remodelling to this family home in Wimbledon (we haven’t come up with a catchy project name yet) but are looking forward to seeing this built in 2024 for this young family.  

We are particularly happy as it overlooks one of our favourite small parks in London – South Park Gardens a beautiful park we have regularly come and had lunch at when working on projects in Wimbledon (very convenient!).

We are delighted that Build It featured our very own Herringbone House in their recent magazine which is well worth a read. 

We are thrilled that our Basket Weave House, a contemporary extension using the basket weave brick pattern in Twickenham won planning permission. This was a contentious planning application with extensive additional volume on all levels and one we are particularly proud of. We look forward to seeing this built for our client and their young family.
